This former rectory was bought by a young family who had recently relocated from London. The brief was to create a modern family home introducing as much natural light into the formerly dark Victorian spaces as possible. Although the house was not listed it was important to retain the original Arts & Crafts style exterior. Working with the original fenestration we opened up internal spaces and created light and airy house. A new state-of-the -art stainless steel kitchen with natural limestone flooring was created with a dining room leading out the extensive landscaped garden. Ten years on were commissioned by the client to refurbish and convert a stone former coach house into a self contained home office in the grounds of the house.
