The house is located in the quiet coastal village of Shaldon situated on the banks of the Teign Estuary in South Devon. We designed this 3 bedroom new build house for the client on a stunning plot which had views over the Teign Estuary, the sea and all the way up the coast to Portland Bill on a clear day. The village is a mix of historic buildings, 1970s bungalows and a handful of contemporary new builds. In order to bridge the gap between all these styles, we design a subtle piece of architecture that sits within its context quietly.
