Alteration to existing property
These clients had never been happy with the flow of space in their home, which they have lived in for many years and has had various extensions added over the years without much consideration for the full layout. The main spaces lacked natural light, and there were also issues with storage and general modernisation required. A number of small alterations were made inside the house to improve the way that it is used, including full conversion of the garage space for use as a large utility. Structural alterations were made to fully open a semi open plan kitchen / diner, and a single storey fully glazed extension added to the rear to create a proper dining area, and to make the kitchen feel more open and spacious. A new roof has been added over the existing extensions to create a more cohesive look, a porch added to the front, new windows throughout and the brickwork painted off white to brighten up the appearance. The result is a wonderfully bright and open family home.
