We were appointed by Devizes Town council to propose options for the refurbishment and enhancement the historic Shambles indoor market, originally constructed in 1835. The proposals focus on improving comfort and energy efficiency and also preserving its architectural heritage by removing unsympathetic 20th-century additions and introducing high quality contemporary interventions. The lower hall will become into a versatile community space, ensuring the market remains a vital part of the local area in the future.
