The brief for this project was to create an open plan kitchen family room that better connected the currently dark interior of the house to the garden. This has been achieved using a large sliding door and a three-metre-long flat rooflight that floods the interior with light. The scheme is clad in British oak which will be allowed to weather naturally. The project also involved replacing a rotten balcony structure and replacing all the windows.
