Full house renovation back to brick, including rear extensions, new dormers, roof terrace and garden annexe for a golf studio. We chose a white brick to anchor the Ground floor rear extension and harmonise with the existing white rendered house above, accentuating the rhythm of the bay by pulling out brick detailed ‘columns’ with green Crittall glazing in between. Internally, arches were created with hidden fire curtains and pocket doors, in order to maximise the light and space but also allow the family to close off spaces as needed. We then rebuilt the first floor rear wing, in order to provide a fully glazed bay window to the master bedroom, and finally we designed a rear garden outbuilding clad in charred black timber fins to contrast against the white brick of the house.
