St Luke’s Hospital is located in a prominent location of Market Harborough and will provide a modern, fully integrated healthcare facility to the local community and surrounding areas. The new 2150sqm of accommodation consists of office space and a number of clinical departments - Outpatients, Physiotherapy, GP, Minor Injuries Unit, X-ray, Mental Health, Podiatry and Community Services. The scheme has employed the latest clinical standards, in conjunction with patient/staff focused clinical design and enhanced landscape to provide the people of Market Harborough with a state-of-the-art hospital. NHS Leicestershire Partnership identified a crucial requirement for a new healthcare facility to accommodate centralised services,. The proposed new build is to provide a high quality clinical environment with a range of specialist healthcare services that are currently provided across a number of sites within the district. Our Project Management and Quantity Surveying team supported the Clinical Commissioning Group in developing the Business Case. Our Architectural team have been working with the Contractor to deliver the project on site whilst making sure the activity within the existing live Hospital is in uninterrupted by the works. Passive environmental features were designed in from outset with natural ventilation to rooms with a window and brise soleil strategically positioned to the South Elevation and photovoltaics panels to utilise the roof space and to provide renewable energy.
