P+HS has worked at James Cook University Hospital for over 20 years, delivering a wide range of acute services across all disciplines at this major acute tertiary centre. Schemes include cardiac theatres, cardiac intensive care unit, outpatients,renal facilities, women and children's facilities, maternity delivery suites, new endoscopy centre, linear accelerator bunkers, rapid access clinic and general ward improvement programmes. We've also designed a new clinical skills unit on site for the Trust. More recently, a whole series of projects are being undertaken under ProCure21, with the PFI partner working with the Trust commissioning schemes jointly. In addition, P+HS developed a demonstration end of life pilot ward for the Trust, as part of a research project for the King's Fund in 2010. Working collaboratively with NBBJ, we successfully delivered a new £18m Ambulatory Care Oncology Unit and Chemotherapy Unit at JCUH, completed in 2011. The new facility provides a welcoming and non-clinical environment to ensure that the patient experience is as stress free as possible.
