P+HS worked with Bowmer & Kirkland and Nightingale Hammerson on the delivery of the £35m development. The new Hammerson House provides a world class 116 bed residential care home for the Jewish Community and meets a range of its residents’ different care needs, from residential care to advanced nursing and dementia care. The new building is organised around small clusters of bedrooms with their own facilities such as a lounge and kitchen to make it feel really like a ‘home from home’. A central hub at “front of house” includes a café, shop, hairdresser, primary care and physio space, and a range of activity areas including space for fundraising, inter-generational groups and celebrations. It’s a stimulating and dignified environment where every person is treated as an individual and given kind, gentle and life-enhancing care.
