Our brief for the transformation of this historic Chelsea residence was to create an airier, open-plan home tailored for modern family living. We prioritised maximising natural light and spatial flow, introducing a contemporary mansard extension and a concealed structural framework to eliminate restrictive internal partitions. The design centres on a dramatic 1.5-storey reading nook that visually connects the living areas to the floors above, while new floor-to-ceiling glass doors establish a seamless inside-outside relationship with the rear garden.
