We recently completed an elegant extension to a large house, enhancing both its functionality and aesthetic appeal. Central to this project is the creation of an expansive open-plan kitchen and dining area, which seamlessly extends to a covered patio. This indoor-outdoor flow not only maximises natural light but also provides a versatile space perfect for both everyday living and entertaining. In addition to this, a new entrance and a convenient WC were incorporated into the design, improving the home's overall layout and accessibility. A standout feature of the extension is the floating cantilevered roof, inspired by the iconic American Case Study Houses. This architectural element not only adds a modern and striking visual appeal but also creates a sense of airy spaciousness and innovative design. The new extension beautifully marries contemporary style with practical living, transforming the house into a sophisticated and welcoming home.
