The Bullfields Centre was built in the 1990s with the specific aim of providing services for the youth of Sawbridgeworth. Currently the building is used every week day in term time by a pre school and at other times by various community groups such as Youth Create, a drama group, Youth Connections, dance & exercise classes, quizzes and wine tasting. The hall is generally booked every evening with children’s parties at the weekends as well. The proposal for The Bullfields Centre seek to sensitively extend and refurbish the existing building so that it can meet the changing needs of local residents and enhance the user experience of hall. To this end the project aims to make the building more accessible to a wide range of people. Multi-purpose spaces can be used flexibly for a number of functions whether that be committee meetings, exercise classes, exhibitions, parties, film nights etc.
