Within a Conservation Area, Alteration to existing property
A new mixed-use development in the heart of Southwark providing dedicated and flexible workspace suitable for individuals and small businesses. At ground floor level a public lobby with restaurant and bar provides a place to eat, drink, work and play. A simple, hard wearing palette of materials incorporating cast and poured concrete, fluted Crittall framed glazing, natural woods and white metro tiles informs a low key industrial aesthetic. New open plan floor plates with exposed surfaces and soffits sit behind a retained facade, with an additional floor added at roof level housing meeting rooms and tenant event space. This project is part of our Grange Road scheme Located in the Bermondsey Street Conservation Area in the London Borough of Southwark. The project proposes the redevelopment and extension of a former pub and adjoining courtyard to provide a mix of commercial space and 1 & 2 bed residential units.
