Our brief from this project’s developer client was to 'Transform a constrained garage site into several desirable homes’. We relished the challenge inheriting this project site, plagued with numerous failed planning applications and several planning appeals by the client’s previous architects. We spent time researching the urban context of Enfield, studying the character of the place, in particular the use of brickwork and vernacular detailing. Implementing the London space standards and pushing the aesthetic of developer housing to reform the brownfield site.
