PJMA was appointed to consider ways to address the potential failure of the historic staircase within 19 Leonard Street. We were responsible for appointing a specialist engineer to investigate the condition of the cast iron, proposing a design solution, obtaining listed building consent, negotiating a contract with a specialist contractor and completing the works on site. The building has been carefully integrated with the School premises. The design respects the fabric of the building while bringing it together with the aspirations of the School in a complimentary relationship.
