Wasdell Group currently occupy a number of industrial units located sporadically on the Euroway Industrial Estate in Swindon. Due to company growth, they require to move to purpose-made premises that will consolidate these sites into one building and site, allowing them to keep their headquarters and manufacture/distribution centre together on one site. This scheme seeks to develop land along Pack Hill to house the Wasdell Group’s headquarters and manufacture and distribution centre. This would provide 33507m2 (GEA) of B8 use and allow Wasdell Group to continue to be located within the Swindon area. We worked closely with the Planning Consultants and the local authorities to achieve planning of this scheme located in the greenbelt. The building has been designed with its setting in mind; materials, patterns and colours have been carefully considered so the building can blend into its setting. The development will be nestled within dense mature planting which will screen the development and protect the sites green aesthetic whilst also benefitting the local ecology. The wider Science Park development provides much needed high-quality research and office space within easy reach of Swindon town centre and the M4. This high-quality and sustainable development has the potential to attract a wealth of new businesses to Swindon, providing employment and economic benefit to the area.
