Monkey Roost is a charming 1970’s home backing onto Greenbelt. Our client approached us in 2016 with the desire to double the habitable area without undermining the integrity of the original building and in a manner that would enhance its setting, security and privacy, as well as exploit views of the countryside. They required an additional bedroom, plus a generous living area and family kitchen/diner, but were not prescriptive which elements of the brief should be accommodated in the extension.
