About the practice

OW•A is an architecture practice that places importance on building resourcefully, with a deep appreciate of identity and place. We’re interested in the stories of our Clients, and ways we can weave their values into the character of the buildings we design for them. We adapt, extend, and remodel buildings to create memorable spaces that stand the test of time. Working in scale from small gardens, adaptations to homes and historic buildings to disused industrial landscapes, we create a collaborative environment which draws out outcomes that are a product of people, place and architecture all at once. We were shortlisted for the Architects Journal Small Project Award in 2017. About Owain Williams Owain is an ARB registered RIBA Chartered Architect, having studied at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, where he graduated with Distinction and was awarded the National Eisteddfod Architecture Scholarship by the Design Commission. He graduated with a First Class Degree in Architecture from the University of Brighton, having been nominated for the RIBA President’s Medal for excellence in architectural design. He completed his professional studies at London Metropolitan University, where he now also teaches. Owain has practiced at Project Orange, TDO Architecture + Design, and Publica Associates amongst others, where he worked to develop award-winning residential, commercial and landscape projects on behalf of public and private clients.
