Majestic Wine approached our team to realise a concept design which had been developed internally. Costings showed that the design would place the project over budget from the outset and with a short timescale of only 5 months, the client approached Ormerod Sutton for help to streamline both costs and duration. Our team worked hard to obtain planning permission, building regulations approval and to develop / cost engineer the concept in a timely manner. Due to our experience and close working relationships with contractors, suppliers and manufacturers we were able to mobilise and finish the project on time and within a much reduced budget. The finished product provided a new, clean, minimalist feel to the store whilst retaining the “industrial” warehouse heritage through the use of natural milled steel furniture and retention of the original oak floor in the in-store Lay & Wheeler fine wine boutique.
