Wex Photo Video are one of the largest photographic retail chains in the UK. Following the recent merger of Warehouse Express, Fixation and Calumet, Ormerod Sutton were appointed to design the all new flagship photographic retail store in central London. As photographic equipment is often black or other dark colour, in order to ensure product prominence within the store, we chose light materials and textures for the bespoke furniture. Third party branding such as Cannon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm and others were used in moderation to prevent clashes with branding of our client in the signage and graphics design. The store is minimalistic in design to allow for arrangement of a large amount of stock whilst the shop floor retains an airy feel.
