A sweeping staircase carved through the centre of the 80£s office block forms the main circulation and hub of the building, creating interaction between employees at all levels. As a specialist wine retailer there was specific requirement for dedicated tasting, wine storage, training rooms and creativity areas all which were incorporated successfully within the scheme. At ground floor level the wine storage and tasting room is encapsulated in a sweeping frameless glass surround allowing visitors to experience the everyday workings of the company before moving into the offices at upper floors. Light, modern and contemporary break out areas were also created as communal spaces on each floor increasing opportunities for interaction between employees from different areas of the company. These feature a variety of appliances including Viv-eau taps which allow the high volume of users a constant supply to both hot and cold water.
