Stamford Park is situated between the town centres of Ashton and Stalybridge. Over recent decades the physical fabric of the park has deteriorated. The project re-establishes the relationship between the park buildings and other park facilities. The main focus of the refurbishment was the pavilion, which interprets the design and orientation of the park landscape, acting as a focal point for the community activity. The pavilion building includes community rooms and a café as well as park reception and offices.
