Nestled into the Derbyshire countryside, the High Support Unit at Mastin Moor provides specialist supported residential accommodation for the charity Turning Point. Comprising 28 self contained flats and ancillary accommodation, the building is designed to promote independent living within a domestic setting whilst maintaining a safe environment for its residents and staff. The building provides framed views of the hills beyond whilst a central courtyard is the active heart of the scheme. The main circulation spaces and key function rooms open directly onto it bringing light and air into the spaces within. The building is designed to contribute to the wellbeing of the residents, assisting some of the local communities most marginalised people to be guided towards full and normal lives.
