OLearyGoss worked on this project since 2003 Initially to release funds from adjacent land owned by the church. These funds, together with some grant funding, allowed for the reorganisation of St Nicholas Church to provide enhanced accommodation for the Parish. The presbytery (former priests house) now accommodates the Parish administrative facilities and meeting rooms. The church has been remodelled to include a new church hall with mezzanine, and an extension. The worship space has been redesigned using light materials which form a backdrop to the vibrant ecclesiastical art. We worked closely with the parish throughout this project, developing our design to reflect the ethos of the parish, and sensitively linking the old with the new. 10 years on the building has proved to have served the community well, and we are planning further works with them.
