Offset Architects were appointed to carry out a two storey rear extension and internal alterations to this detached property in the Green Belt. The design provides a complementary modern addition to the existing house, opening up the space at ground floor level to achieve a seamless transition between interior and exterior. The property now benefits from an open plan kitchen/dining space, separate living room, study, boot room, utility and a generous balcony area. Alongside the planning process, we also applied for a Lawful Development Certificate for a new garage, swimming pool and outbuilding with a home gym and golf simulator. The large format glazing and glass balustrading reflects the surrounding scenery, and the powder coated aluminium cladding adds a contemporary feel. Photography: Sussex Construction
