This new family home is located in the heart of the Surrey Hills (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). Nye Saunders, with D&M Planning, developed an intricate planning strategy that saw consent granted for a replacement dwelling and its subsequent extension whilst still enabling the build to be completed in one seamless process. Planning approval was also obtained for an annex, swimming pool, stables and garage to replace existing outbuildings. The six bedroom, three storey house has a traditional Surrey vernacular style to three elevations with a more contemporary edge to the rear to complement the modern annex. The annex discreetly buries itself in the hillside to provide the space the client desired without obstructing the stunning views of surrounding countryside. Both the house boasts a state of the art smart home system and embraces sustainable technology including a ground source heat pump and photovoltaic panels.
