A 46 classroom academic hub based around a new outdoor social space adjacent to a Grade 2* Listed house in what was formerly an underused backwater of the school campus. The regular rhythm of the buildings allows for adaption to a range of scales of teaching accommodation. The landscape integrates much needed social space with planting and Sustainable Urban Drainage (SUDS) to create a calm mature courtyard space. The design had to be woven carefully around surviving features of the historic gardens.
