NORR was originally commissioned to carry out a detailed feasibility study to formulate a brief for a new sports centre for the Royal Veterinary College at the Hawkshead Campus. After assessing site options and strong engagement with all stakeholder groups the design and build of the new sports centre is underway to provide the campus with modern and flexible indoor sports facilities for all staff and students. The building will provide an ‘Enhanced Sports Hall’ allowing for club level sports to be accommodated. The hall will provide floor markings and equipment for 4 badminton courts, together with basketball, volleyball, netball, hockey, table tennis. Further, the facility will provide a Fitness Suite, Aerobic Studio, Climbing wall, changing and admin/management functions.
