Rowhook is a beautiful new build house in a site surrounded by ancient wood land. The house is a code 5 level sustainable house which integrates itself into the landscape and uses various systems such as geo-thermal, PV and passive ventilation. we are also employing Passivhaus standards for the envelope. The house is very contextual, but also contemporary and has a rich mix of materials such as red brick, sweet chestnut cladding and copper cladding. The red brick runs along the North facade as a spine with a range of bonds from hit and miss to Flemish and herringbone. The chimney hides a staircase and natural stack effect vent.
