Following on from the success of other conversion projects, Niche Design Architects were appointed by specialist developer Fountainhead Ventures Ltd. to develop the scheme for five residential units set within this Edwardian stable complex, originally built as part of the Askham Grange Estate at Askham Richard, York. The homes range from 300-500m2 and have extensive gardens. The stable courtyard is to become a communal landscaped space. Planning was granted in August 2013 (further to extensive pre-application discussions due to the importance of the existing buildings and rural setting) and work is due to start on site in Autimne 2013 with completion expected for December 2014.
