About the practice

Neighbourhood Studio is an architecture practice established in 2016 by Lizzie Ruinard and Rachel Bell. We specialise in delivering contemporary, crafted architecture and interior design projects. Together, we have developed extensive experience of working on sensitive sites through the delivery of a diverse range of projects including additions and renovations to historic buildings, new builds and community-led, public realm projects. We have a deep appreciation of the natural world and aim to minimise the impact of our building projects on the environment by using simple and sustainable materials and processes. We are committed to reducing the carbon footprint of architecture. All our projects are a collaboration between client, designer and builder and it is this approach which is at the heart of our work.
