The University Enterprise Zone provides space for start-ups and small businesses to grow whilst strengthening collaborative ties between universities and businesses. Queen Mary University of London (QMUL) is creating a University Enterprise Zone within the Queen Mary Bio Innovation Centre. The refurbishment across the lower ground and mezzanine levels provides the University Enterprise Zone a range of flexible and adaptable work spaces for early stage digital health and bio-engineering businesses. The facility has also been designed to adapt to scientific research and laboratory use in the future. The building provides dedicated workspace for each tenant as well as shared office spaces, meeting rooms and amenities fundamental to creating a truly collaborative and inclusive environment. Large glazed openings provide excellent visual connectivity from office desk, meeting rooms as well as between floors.
