Includes a six lane, variable depth competition swimming pool, a four court sports hall, softplay, creche, fitness and exercise suites, cafeteria, function room, IT suite and an external floodlit full size all-weather football and hockey pitch. The Raich Carter Sports Centre is a major Sport England Lottery winner. It has been designed as a community sports complex for both the people of Sunderland and Hendon in particular, attracting 35,000 visitors in the first six weeks of opening.
