The conservation of an unlisted Art Deco warehouse in the centre of Newcastle to provide 79 appartments, 4 penthouse suites, 2 office suites and associated external works to form a new public square in the city centre. The project resulted from a master plan execise carried out jointly for London & Regional Properties Ltd and the City Council. The project formed phase 1 of the St. James Boulevard redevelopment, a key element in the Grainger Town Regeneration Project. The apartments were completed in July 2004 with the ground floor office units being fitted out and occupied by Nappers Architect, Ashley House plc and the Courts Service in 2006.
