The barn gained conversion approval, but the existing structure proved structurally unsafe; new build was built on the original footprint. The layout has been arranged over a mezzanine split level. The solar gain provided by the rooflights and the large glazed openings aid the energy efficiency of the building, flooding the interior with natural light. The openings frame the beautiful views across the countryside to the Black Mountains connecting the interior to the exterior.
