This project set out as a Conversion of agricultural barn to dwellinghouse with extension and landscaping. But it turned into a new build as the stone was not fit for purpose. Split mezzanine levels as per existing. We used the large existing openings of the barn, and added external shutters for security and sun protection. The Clients love the rural site and wanted connection with it, which we achieved with external terraces, hard landscaping and far reaching views. The extension houses an artist's studio.
