Radley College identified that their rowing team was not achieving the required results due to lack of training opportunities. The new indoor facility, with a bespoke dynamic boat in an unpowered tank, and is naturally ventilated to replicate the windy conditions of outdoor rowing. The IT-rich environment allows for the close monitoring of performance. Two further wings surrounding an external courtyard accommodate a static training room of 32 ergometers and a strength and conditioning suite. The benefit of the project is now evident with increased senior results and retention of junior boys in the team.
