This project included an extension to the rear of the existing dwelling, to allow for additional internal accommodation. The new rear extension replaced existing outbuildings to the rear of the property. The extension is the full width of the site, one storey, with new flat roof with parapet detail, to conceal the proposed roof lights. The extension seeks to ensure a complimentary addition to the main house, that remains subordinate in nature. The proposed materials of brick and simple glazed elements, allow for the extension to remain sensitive to the existing main structure and the original plan form can still be easily read.
