Set in extensive grounds, this large country house was originally constructed in the early 20th century. The works included the complete remodelling and renovation of the interior, marrying bright open spaces with traditional character. Bespoke joinery and ornate plasterwork combine perfectly with a modern colour palette. The house previously suffered from a convoluted approach in which the entrance faced the private rear garden. Consequently we re-oriented the house to create a true sense of arrival with new porch and entrance hallway, through which all principle rooms and existing staircase are accessed. A new orangery has been added, formed in rich red brick with stone detailing, lead roof and bespoke hardwood lantern light. The results have transformed this previously unloved property into a home which can be enjoyed in all seasons.
