Extensions and alterations have seen the dramatic transformation of this previously anonymous ‘chalet’ style bungalow. Typical of many such houses built in the 1950s and 1960s the house lacked the quality that the site deserved. Internally the scheme focused on addressing the cellular and poorly arranged layout. The revised plan opened up the floor plate in order to fully exploit the expansive views along the Stonor Valley. Externally, the new design seeks to deliver a timeless appearance with fresh and clean lines using simple but high-quality materials for longevity. The intention was to provide the property with a new identity being distinctive but not ostentatious.
