The final Phase of Mountford Pigott’s extensive work at Bentley Bridge comprised an open A1 Retail Park of 14,200m² for AXA REIM. This followed completion of a number of earlier phases including a foodstore, leisure park, housing and substantial infrastructure works. The site layout was developed following close consultation with Black Country Development Corporation and Wolverhampton City Council to provide substantial pedestrian linkage to Wednesfield Town Centre and the adjoining leisure park in line with a comprehensive development masterplan. The design makes extensive use of tensile structures and flexible retail floor space.
