This new build dwelling is situated atop the Ridgeway to the north of Newbury. The red brick masonry facades, Georgian sash windows, and pitched roof align with the location’s vernacular to effectively place the proposal within it’s context. Traditional brick detailing has been incorporated in the façade, while contemporary grey Georgian window frames and a dark grey slate roof have been included to create a modern take on a traditional style of dwelling. Luxury was the primary objective for this proposal, with the design including a large living and dining space on the ground floor, an external pool and extensive patio, and 6 bedrooms on the upper two floors, all having ensuites.
