This exciting residential project in Paignton involved the comprehensive transformation of an existing property through a bespoke rear extension, loft conversion, new porch formation, and extensive internal remodelling. Developed in close collaboration with the homeowners, the design was carefully tailored to create a contemporary family home that reflects their lifestyle, aspirations, and modern living requirements. The proposal includes a striking rear extension that enhances the connection between the house and garden while creating a bright, open-plan living environment. A loft conversion provides valuable additional accommodation, maximising the property's potential without increasing its footprint. The introduction of a new porch improves both the property's kerb appeal and functionality, creating a welcoming entrance that complements the overall design. A key feature of the project is the incorporation of contemporary architectural elements, including modern glazing, clean lines, carefully considered proportions, and high-quality external finishes. The existing building will benefit from a new roof and replacement windows throughout, significantly improving both its appearance and energy efficiency. Internally, the property will undergo substantial remodelling to create a more practical and flexible layout. The redesigned spaces have been carefully planned to maximise natural light, improve circulation, and support modern family living. Every aspect of the design has been informed by ongoing discussions with the client, ensuring the final proposal responds directly to their needs and future aspirations. As architects specialising in bespoke home extensions, loft conversions, and residential alterations in Paignton and across Devon, our aim was to deliver a design that balances contemporary architecture with practical living, creating a home that is both visually striking and highly functional.
