This project involved the extension and alteration of an existing dwelling, developed through close collaboration with the client to ensure their expectations were met while remaining within budget. The design carefully balances traditional and contemporary elements. The front extension has been designed to seamlessly integrate with the existing building, reflecting its character through matching proportions, detailing, and external finishes. In contrast, the rear extension adopts a more contemporary approach, creating a light-filled, open-plan living space. The design incorporates extensive glazing to maximise natural light and strengthen the connection with the garden, alongside a combination of flat and mono-pitch roofs to add architectural interest and a modern aesthetic.
