Timber frame construction with well insulated walls and roof achieve a high performance thermal value of at least 0.12 W/m2K. Air tightness is no greater than 0.6 air changes / hr @ n50. Mechanical Ventilation Heat Recovery [MVHR] provides fresh air, climate control and environmental comfort and together with PV panels low energy usage is achieved without the need for heating.
