Completed in 2002, this new Gymnasium for Plymouth High School for Girls sits wihin their existing city centre site, in fact it sits on one of the very few vacant spaces left within the school's boundaries. In order to satisfy changing cirriculum requirements and vacate other less appropriate hall type space elsewhere on the premises, the School needed a stand along facility complete with changing, storgage and sanitary accomodation. The building also houses a classroom for the specific teaching of PE based subjects. The new gymnasium makes a statement about how the School sees itself developing and is a testament to the Schools commitment to the future.
