This Kensal Rise Victorian conversion project involved a full refurbishment, rear extension, and window replacement/redesign. The clients had a very tight budget, so were keen for us to design a staged approach, so they would be able to add a loft extension in the future, without needing to undo any of the current works. The extension is characterised by a split level open plan room, with a floor to ceiling library area and circular skylight. Black and white dominate throughout, with the addition of accent colours found in the original stained glass in the front door. Orange and blue moments appear throughout the home, complemented by playful interiors and large glazing. We designed a bespoke kitchen to fit in with the exposed steelwork and industrial feel of the home.
