Total building overhaul of previously unattractive 1960's 2 storey L-shaped 3 bed house which was a jumble of blocks and various architectural styles. New design unites the architectural style of the whole property, with new massing, cladding and roofing. The design adds a new 2/3 storey wing doubling the sixe of the property and exploits the slope of the site by providing adjacent terraces to the new living spaces. Project involved interior remodelling throughout and a complete refurbishment. New accommodation provided: large double height day room, open plan kitchen/ dining room, sun terraces, master bedroom with en-suite, guest bedroom and new family bathroom. The client had a fairly tight budget and wanted to obtain maximum impact of the renovation works. Therefore existing building elements were selectively retained as much as possible in order to control costs.
