The original 4 bedroom detached house was built in 1962 and left largely untouched. The house is in the centre of Marlborough Wiltshire. The client wanted to transform the unprepossessing house into a vibrant contemporary home perfect for a young family. The extension was constructed using a timber frame superstructure on piled foundations, highly insulated and finished with a modern render system. All windows, including the existing, were triple-glazed with GRP/timber composite frames. The kitchen was also designed, supplied and installed by Milton Architects.
