Mapleton Crescent is a distinctive modular building clad in beautiful teal terracotta inspired by the River Wandle. This 27 floor slender tower challenges a belief that tall buildings fail to create a community and sets a new precedent for the delivery of modular affordable housing on constrained sites at speed. Mapleton Crescent has a variety of shared internal lounges and roof gardens for residents. Two thirds of the 89 high-quality homes are dual-aspect and 53 homes (60 %) are for local Londoners. The building is arranged around a triangular stair and lift core. A 25 floor wing of river-facing homes and a 27 floor wing of south-facing homes have a naturally lit and ventilated corridor providing views out on 3 sides. The residents lounge, entrance foyer, riverside walkway and striking sawtooth roadside cladding make a positive addition to Wandsworth's public realm. Mapleton Crescent is the tallest private sale modular tower in Europe and the views from the roof terrace are wonderful.
